San Remo
Last day for Dan here in Vegas, he had to head back home to spend the 4th of July with his family. So we spent a little while checking out some more stuff on the Vegas strip. We also moved from the NY:NY hotel to the Hotel San Remo. San Remo is located just aside MGM, it’s off the Strip which makes it a bit cheaper. The room itself is OK – though there is no iron! How am I suppose to iron my teh awesome clubbing clothes?!?

Though it does have pretty cheap meals! And even cheaper gambling tables! Finally I can get aggressive on the tables without worrying about loosing money for not eating! Huzzah!
It was mostly a right of day today, quite lot of sleeping and resting. I walked most of the south part of the strip and checked out the casinos there. Visited the awesome Luxor and had some really chewy chocolate ice cream…. mmmm ice cream….
We thought it would be a great idea to see a Las Vegas style show – only problem was that most of them are about $100USD! That’s a lot of drinks you can buy. So we looked around and found a place that sells tickets at half price, and found a show for $20USD at the San Remo that included two free drinks! Awesomeness!
The ‘Showgirls of Magic’ isn’t your typical magic show; the theatre is very small (about fifty seats) so its quite close and personal. So personal in fact that our mate Greg was invited to the stage for a little magic.

Apologies about the fuzziness of the photo – it was a polaroid shot taken by the girls. They were incredibly smooth, well trained magicians and don’t worry – Greg made it back to his seat in one seat with his pants back on. The ladies were even kind enough to show some of their magic tricks with their tops magically disappearing. I’m pretty sure the main reason the crowd cheered so much was because of them being topless.
Wilko was invited on the stage later on the show along with a few other guys and had masks attached to their faces and did various funny things. In a comp of balloon busting Wilko proved how much he sucks and blowing up balloons – the girls later on offered tips on how to blow.
For $20USD it was great value for money with two comedians and a load of B-grade magic tricks – plus we even gave Dan a cheap tittie show in one go! Dan said his good byes at the airport as he left for his trip to meet up with his family. I hope that he enjoyed his Vegas experience as much as we have, now the remainder of us have to try and survive for the next few days.
