Vista and Login scripts

Comments

So far I’ve been fairly successful adapting Vista to Samba networks (or samba to vista actually), however I hit a bit of a wall in terms of login/logon scripts.

Simply I couldn’t fathom why a standard Login script (netlogon/etc) wasn’t being executed by Vista when a user logs on.

The answer lay within the new UAC system… specifically the need to disable it.  I’m not entirely sure why, but with this puppy active Login scripts simply won’t run.

The easy solution is through Control Panel. Type “UAC” into the search bar at the top of the screen and you’ll see this task presented.
